What the little guy has been up to

Little Nathan had his first major illness a couple of weeks back which was also the first time he was properly sick since he was born. What started out as a seemingly harmless little temperature from teething turned out to be something more sinister.
He became very listless, rejected his porridge at meal-times and even went off his milk. We took him to the doc's thinking it was something minor and was given some meds for his cough and runny nose. But a few days later he still hadn't gotten better so we had to go back to the doc's again. At this point the poor little guy had lost his voice and had such an awfully runny and blocked nose that he could not sleep lying down at all and whimpered constantly through the nights. It was heartbreaking.
This time he was diagnosed with a lung infection and was so choked with phlegm he had to be put on the nebuliser every 4 hours for 4 days. Those were difficult times as any parent who has had to nebulise their child (for the 1st time at least) can identify with.
A week later (and after much struggles and tears!), he was soooo much better I didn't mind that he passed his bug to me!
After he recovered, he became his cheerful self again and even speeded up on his baby steps "training" as if to make up for lost time.
You learn that the smile on your child's face cannot be taken for granted.
And that a cute toothy grin is priceless!
A happy baby = a happy mummy :)

Another shop update

As you can tell I'm busy making up for time lost in the last few couple of weeks!

(I must admit they were finished way earlier but had to wait around for a bit :p )

{ Petite Fleur - Smoky Rose }

I've run out of the original red roses but these deep pink roses were a lovely alternative :)

{ Petite Fleur - Bella Rose }

Something a little more goth and twilight-y!

{ Little Swallow & the Magic Toadstool }

And a quirky fun necklace...
I can't believe this sold before I even updated on the blog!

And to my friends in the good ole US of A, happy thanksgiving!
Let's count our blessings everyday :)

Latest batch of goodies

New additions to the shop!

( It's a fairly big update too if I daresay. )

{Anne ring}

I have some other stuff on the way which I'd completed before Nathan and I were sick, and yes both of us have been ill for the longest time! I will have some updates on what has been going on at home in case you were wondering about the absence of posts, slow communication etc. etc. It's not been the easiest of time but I'm glad we're coming out the other side and also grateful for the patience and understanding of some lovely ladies who have been waiting for their purchases. Right now I just want to say a big thank you for bearing with me! And I hope you guys will like this batch of goodies while I head back to the desk to finish up the rest! Ah how I love this job! :)

Sparkle and shine!

Argh!! It's mid week already and I still haven't done half the stuff I needed to do! Does that sound like the story of your life too? I spent a good part of yesterday photographing the new necklaces but a nagging part of me just thinks they could be better! Will probably have to do another photoshoot before they are ready to meet the world. Meanwhile I'm still occupied with finishing custom orders and coming up with new rings for the Christmas season but here's a new shining pair of earrings for the shop:

Love the sparkly colours! Hope you do too!

How have you been?

{chirpy colours to start the new week!}

Hello there! I apologise for the long absence from this blog the past week or more, a monster of a persistent cough and sore throat has seen me trudging to the doctor twice for stronger meds each time and kept me away from work longer than I expected. So relieved to announce I'm finally no longer Darth Vader! The weekend was a lovely time of rest and recovery and lots of sleep in bed. In fact, I felt so much better I was able to check out MAAD at Red Dot with my gal pal Eileen and I tell you it was so worth the trip!

Apart from catching up with old vendor friends and scoring some amazing Christmas pressie buys, I had the privilege of attending a little letterpress workshop session by Mein - Elaine had actually brought along a real life breathing letterpress machine to MAAD! I've always been intrigued by the art of letterpress and how wonderful it was to have a glimpse into this mysterious world (ok mysterious at least to us this side of the globe) and actually have a go at it! Words cannot describe my excitement and thrill in finding someone so friendly and generous in sharing her experiences in letterpress. Thank you Elaine! You're a gem! :)

While my top priority this week is to finish the stack of way overdue custom orders (yikes! thank you for being so patient ladies!) , my trusty babysitter a.k.a. The Grandma is unable to help me with her usual hours this week so I foresee an interesting time ahead with a super-duper cranky teething bub and finally launching some new necklaces and rings in time for Christmas ! The original big plan was to surprise with a MAAD appearance in December cos I really miss the interaction and fun of meeting peeps and friends and to put some new packaging and booth ideas into action ... but... plans change and I'm off on a weekend beach retreat instead! hehe... please don't hate me... I will still make your online purchases sweeter as planned :)

December is traditionally a busy time for the family and this year is gonna be extra special cos it's Nathan's first Christmas with us! We have some grand plans on how to celebrate and can't wait! Hope you are looking forward to some special times ahead too!

xoxo
